Re: VersaWorks Weekly Tip - Variable Data

I used this for some badges I had to print recently - 50 different badges with photographs - and it saved me so much time! I love this feature!

Re: Inside or outside

Hi Adam

I'd say that they are semi-permanent, in that they will be on for no set period of time. People are asking about sign-writing their vehicles and wanted graphics on the windows, so they will keep them as long as they keep the vehicles.

Bubble Free Etch Film

Anyone got any good advice on the best way to apply the above? Should it be wet or dry and any tips? We are going to use the METAScape Frost as the bloke down the road says it is good stuff!

Advice welcome.

Inside or outside

I have been asked to apply some cut vinyl lettering to the window of a car and would like to know if it is best to reverse cut and apply inside or apply on the outside? It is the rear window so I am just checking with regards wipers and more importantly the heating element in case either will damage...

Tips and best practice for removing vehicle wraps

Afternoon all,

I am hoping that you lovely people can offer me some advice on the best ways to remove vehicle vinyl and glue residue? I gather that heat helps but where should I heat and are there glue removers you can buy? If so, are some better than others?

Help is appreciated!

Re: Roland Creative Awards

Hi Roland

Is there a limit to the number of entries that one company can submit? I may have a few that I would like to enter so I can win me that VS!

Re: Take-up unit

I have a take-up with my VP-540 and it does give me the freedom to leave the machine running with longer jobs when I need to be elsewhere. It is also good for space saving as I don't need to leave lots of room for print to hang out the machine. The roller bar system on the Roland take-up works perfe...

Re: Do you charge for artwork?

I usually build it in with the price of the job and work out my time at £10 per hour. Can price you out if you charge too much but then I don't want to work for nothing!

Re: Latex or solvent?

Solvent inks are usually more aggressive than EcoSolvent and they smell so you will need ventilation / extraction. The solvent inks are also more harsh on the inside of the machines so you will need to waste more ink through cleaning if you are not using the printer on a regular basis. People will t...
