Re: Engraving Granite - surface tolerance - tilted Z axis?

Hi, for uneven surface engraving the MDX-40/TS400 machines have a fixed Z spindle, i.e. it goes to the depth you set and moves parallel to X,Y. On our EGX machines we have Nosecones with a floating Z, so the nosecone follows the material surface and the tool projects through the nosecone the depth y...

Re: How to remove top surface from cutting when using Modela Player 4 on MDX 40

Hi. I think you mean you do not want to cut the top surface, just the features below the top. In this case you can set the start height of the cutting process to be a small amount below the top surface. Modela Player and SRP Player cut between the top and bottom values and ingnore the rest of the mo...

Re: Roland MDX-40A spindle problem

Hello
Yes the MDX-40 spindle is under spring pressure, so there is a small movement if you press the spindle down from the top.
As it pops up, that is OK.

Re: Jumps between z-origins

Hello This sounds like you have run out of cutting stroke. If you say the Z is at 152mm when starting, then the maximum you can cut is 3mm. If it is more, then the safety "Out of limits" feature, makes a Z retraction for every pass until the program is either completed of stopped by the user. Can yo...

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

Some positive news.
The EGX-400/600 was the basis of this machine, so as the EGX-400/600 was just discontinued production this year, then there should be those common parts available, within reason, till about 2023. That said, I do not know of any of our AC axis motors failing. :)

Re: Roland egx 30

Yes www.vectric.com are fully compatible with Roland machines, plus they import - DWG, DXF, EPS, AI, PDF, SVG Image File Imports include - BMP, JPG, TIF, GIF with nice vectorising to create vectors for machining. This cuts out vectorising in Illustrator, plus as it is for machining, it optimises the...
