Re: SRP Player vs Modela Player

Hi Serge Glad you are pleased and are happy to share this information. Just for you to know some clients can exhaust the facilities of ModelaPlayer and SRPPlayer, and therefore use other CAM packages, like Vectric.com, Fusion360 and many others. Using some of these can expand the capabilities of our...

Re: MDX-40 firmware update problem

Glad you solved it.
Yes the Roland Updater was designed for starting at Windows XP as that was the current OS for the MDX-40 at the time.

Re: How to drill holes in SRP player?

The latest SRP Player has drilling at a location you specify, but cannot detect holes in an STL.
For drilling a profile milling, Cut2D by Vectric.com is a powerful and in expensive solution

Re: MDX-40A with rotation unit, calibrate A Axis ?

If you read the ZCL-40A user manual there is a section on setup, then you can make a test cut as shown in the manual and make fine adjustments if needed.

Re: Milling alumiunum

In the Roland SRP Player there are no such features.
If programming in NC code then we support the G04 dwell feature, so you could program a Z move up, spindle off, G4 dwelling, then spindle on and continue.
Manually you can pause cutting and then resume.

Re: SRP Player vs Modela Player

Serge I see what you mean. ModelaPlayer and SRP Player may look similar in many ways, but are written by completely different companies for Roland and uses different calculating engines. Therefore you cannot use the rotary functions in the same way, the datum is at the centre of the axis. Also in Mo...
