Thanks for the reply. I run the iModela from a WinXP virtual machine and even restricting the VM graphics memory from 18MB to 4MB and RAM from 192MB to 32MB had no discernible effect on the speed of display even when combined with your suggestions. It did make the OS run like treacle though :) Ian Mc

Downcutters are on my list of things to try. As are, 1) coating the wood before the finishing pass 2) trying re-orienting the grain to the mill cutting direction 3) trying a straight edge cutter (suggestion from CNC routing sites) figuring out a way to climb mill will have to wait until I'm more au ...

After trying to follow the Virtual "blink-and-you-miss-it" MODELA animation output, some way of slowing down the animation so the toolpath can be seen would be appreciated. ClickMILL climb milling?

Does anyone know if there is an option to climb mill using the ClickMILL software?

I'm trying to cut some pockets in a piece of pine and am getting frayed edges when cutting across the grain.
