Re: how can i tighten the sensor cables?

I had to fix mine when a connection on one of the sensors snapped at the back of the head snapped, they are difficult to get to. just make sure when you do get it back in place that you put a cable tie around the cord to keep it in place or as the head is moving it will snap another connection. you ...

Re: SOS, HELP MY MPX90, TURNING ON AND BLINKING

You may have a connection broke off one of the sensors, this happened to my machine which was out of warranty, I had to order a new sensor from the USA as I could not find any in the UK, I then soldered the new sensor on to the existing lead and all works fine.

Re: MPX-90 Printing problem

I had this problem, I also know someone else that did. Roland will insist that your head needs replacing.... It doesn't!.... I took the head apart, the end of the pin that is inside the casing seems to get stuck within the white cylindrical part, carefully release it, then clean all parts and reasse...

Re: MPX-90 Head strip down and clean

Well no of course you wouldn't as it means £280 for a new one :-/
There are only a few components to put back together..... not difficult at all.
I would suggest that Roland start supplying just the diamond tipped pin on it's own, there is no need to replace the whole head, more expense!

Re: MPX-90 Head strip down and clean

I have the manual and have referred to it on many occasion and you have pointed out it does indeed mention cleaning the machine and the head cap, it does not however explain how to take the head to pieces and clean the interior of it or the pin itself.

Re: MPX-90 Head strip down and clean

If this is the case then why isn't it explained anywhere? No one mentions that if the internal parts are dirty that it won't engrave, I was getting no engraving at all, I thought a new head was needed even though I have not had it that long, I am pretty certain that if I had contacted Roland regardi...

MPX-90 Head strip down and clean

I recently posted about my machine having a flashing power light issue, I found this to be a connection had snapped off the upper sensor for the head mechanism, so replaced it with a new sensor and all was good. If anyone else has this problem, I ordered a few sensors as I could not find them for sa...

MPX-90 Problem

I found that one of the connectors on the top sensor for the height control of the head had snapped (Makes the power light flash as the machine thinks the head height is set) so as a temporary fix I basically wedged the broken contact back into the sensor so that the broken bit made good contact. Th...
