Do you read the M0, M1 or M2 values?
The best way is to use M1 readings when profiling media with lots of OBA.
However M0 readings often gives very similar results and its twice faster with i1 PRO2.

For medias with none or very low OBA it doesn't matter so use default M0.

Re: Software Instability

I have writen "Problem exist for a longer period time." To clarify - couple of years, different VW versions, and at least 3 PC with different hardware, and OS. I am 100% sure that this is a bug in VW. It happens like 2-3 times a month but still it is annoying when I cant just restart VW because 1-2 ...

Re: Software Instability

I can confirm that problem. VW 5.5.1, win 7 64bit. Problem exist for a longer period time. It is not OS dependent (same on win XP).
One rip process often just hung with no special reason.
After queing new rip job it just sit with 0% forever until killed with windows task manager and VW restart.

Re: Creating Profiles withi1Profiler & Versaworks

once printed, take a look and determine at what point the colours no longer go darker and mark them That is a bad way to do it. 1) Scan printed patches with i1 and find a patch with highest Chroma (LCh values) for C,M,Y. You can use xrite i1 profiler (after ver 1.6) or free xrite colorport and demo...

Re: Colours Varying Between 2 Same Files...

Run preflight in Acrobat and you will find the reason. First file is in RGB Second file is in CMYK Color conversion between color spaces can be done by CMM module in graphic software or by RIP/printer driver. There are no color profiles attatched in your files so color conversion will run on default...

Re: Missing light cyan ink?

Visually check if there is ink in the tube that get to the LC damper.
If not it is possible that air is somehow get inside to the ink tubes. Maybe o-ring is faulty.

Re: XJ-740 firmware

I recently updated firmware from 3.60 to 4.40 on XJ-640. Everything went smoothly without error. Why fixing bugs on firmware is a secret? It`s a good thing. The strange thing is that japan site providing that info and it is not a secret. Double standards of customer service? http://abload.de/thumb/t...

Re: Transparent printing colour rather than nothing

From my experience PDF in old versions (1.3, 1.4) works fine.
If customer sends me PDF in never version to print I always convert it to PDF-X1in adobe acrobat.
