Re: Stuck profiling our VSi printer

Thanks mrtn

Had the first one but not the second.

I seem to have managed to profile my printer correctly, upon testing my own prints it seems fine but when printing the test print page I'm getting pooling but I've left it on density controlled.

I'll take a read of the second post and see how I go.

Stuck profiling our VSi printer

Hi guys I've been trying to profile my Versacamm printer for some time, I suppose it doesn't help when so many people give you different advice or using different software/tools. Just when I think I've managed it, it doesn't workout as expected, puddling, colour not coming out right. First off, let'...

Creating a profile with Versaworks, i1Profiler & Babelcolor

Hi I'm trying to profile my Roland CMYK Printer Tools that I have at my disposal: i1pro2 iprofiler, Babelcolor Patch Patchtool (Trial) Coloris (which uses Argyll CMS) I understand I need to limit the single color inks first in Versaworks by printing a print chart with CMYK all at 100% and read it wi...

Test Cuts

Hi guys I've had my printer a 6 months or so, I've also done the intermediate day but i still have questions regarding test cuts. When you do a test cut on the machine, (the circle with the square) I increase the force till i get a faint line. I then setup the printer to print and cut i.e. t-shirt t...

Creating your own profiles

Hi I've not long had my printer and I've been told that I need to start thinking about colour and making my own profiles so that I can consistently print the right colour year after year. I'm told I need to get a spectrophotometer but I want to confirm which one is suitable. I was looking at the EFI...

Re: What colorspace to use?

Thanks mrtn That was the first thing I did, i've also googled and i'm not getting a valid answer. From what I understand, the best colour space is RGB and then send it to illustrator and select the media profile, why RGB I don't know but and as far as i'm aware no one really knows but this creates t...
