No doubt someone will ask when the captops were last changed
I think I just did in the clone thread. Is that bad?

Re: Versa Camm not printing colour...

Sweet Jesus.

NEVER do powerful cleanings. If two medium cleanings won't do it the problem is elsewhere and it's out of your own expertise.

Have you had the machine serviced per schedule? Captops from Digiprintsupplies don't count.

Re: Font error

Seems like a really rare error. Never seen this before.

Re: VS640i media shifts

Cracked/worn pinch roller frames, distorted torsion beam.

Do you by any chance leave media loaded overnight often?

Re: BN-20 or VS-300

VS is superior in every way. The printhead is expensive tho (the same head is also in the BN), so make sure the used machine is in great shape and the printhead works well. If not you'll be looking at a new SG-300 price together with replacement.

Re: Hints or Tips On Laying Down 1220mm Wide Application Tape

That's exactly the opposite. I have several one-person shops who have bought this machine for this exact reason. It would multiply the production speed and minimize waste and wrinkled media, which is a byproduct of 100% manual work.

Re: Roland VP540i Print & Cut Machine

Rule of thumb is 35C print, 40C dryer.

You can print&cut in one go if your media withstands it and doesn't curl up. Most quality media is ok in that regard.

You may leave it dry for a minute or three if you don't feel too confident.

Re: Grainy colours?

Yes, drying is the key here.
