Re: XF-640 Pinch Roller pressure

You mean the magnetic clamps to prevent media crashes?

Any Roland dealer can supply these.

Re: Versaworks loading really slowly

Go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Roland VersaWorks\VersaWorks\Printers\BN-20\. There you see two folders: Job-A and Job-B. Copy those to a safe location for the time of cleaning and initializing.

Re: Versaworks loading really slowly

Delete all unnecessary jobs, remove all windows temp files (CCleaner is a handy job for that). If that doesn't work, copy the Job files to a backup, initialize Versaworks, start VersaWorks, set the printer, turn off VersaWorks, copy the Job files back to the original location and you should be good.

Re: XF-640 Pinch Roller pressure

Yes, as low as possible. Depression marks are usually caused by thick and soft adhesive rather than the media itself.

Re: XF-640 Pinch Roller pressure

It's not adjustable (without major work). Are you sure it's a depression mark? Sometimes fresh rollers may leave a mark before they pick up enough dust to smoothen the rubber surface.

Re: LEF-200. The white color disappears in the morning

It keeps chunks of pigment from entering the head and clogging the nozzles. Your nozzles have not dried up, they're probably starving of ink flow due to missed daily cartridge shaking lead to thickening of ink and causing flow restriction.

You can always check with a fresh white cartridge.

Next up: damper replacement.

Only use OEM parts or as it's a new printer, have it fixed under warranty. Even print heads have warranty.

Arright. Perhaps a captop replacement will fix this.

Re: ecosolmax to ecosolmax2

Why would you want to do that? MAX is perfectly good ink.

Re: BN20 metallic ink..

Nothing will happen to it.
Shake the cartridge, circulate the ink, perform a good manual cleaning before the shutdown, make sure the captop seal is clean and straight, if not, replace it (6 months is the period anyway). Leave the machine with the main switch on and you should be good.
