Christmas present - Rotary Axis ZCL-40a or self centre vice

Surely someone has a Rotary Axis ZCL-40a or self centre vice lying around they don't use anymore? That's all I want for Christmas :P

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

Barely broken in! If anything serious breaks you're pretty much screwed. There's some very fancy AC motors in there that you just won't get anymore. Oh - and those motherboards... As someone else said in the thread somewhere - it would be a great machine to convert to stepper motors if anythin...

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

No probs. I was in the same boat when I got mine. Other advice - Take very good care of that handset - the machine wont work without it and you'll not get another one. They tend to get worn where the wire connects to the handset body. Get a tube of good lube for the Z-Screw - not the guides but the ...

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

Tidy looking machine - especially for the price!! You'll find out how many hours the spindle has had in Vpanel somewhere.

I'll split the connector and get the wiring - took a photo for someone else on here but seems to be gone. Hopefully once you get that fitted it'll be fully functional :D

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

No and yes :D The machine connects to computer via USB. The serial connector was connected to a switch on the machines original housing (missing I presume?) - if the door wasn't closed the machine wouldn't work. So - you've got to short out a few wires on the serial connector in place of a switch. I...

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

There's one of your problems then. You'll need a serial plug that fits the expansion socket - 2 pins need connected.

Post a few pics and take it form there. Might be an obvious fix...

Re: RotoCAMM TS-400E

I'm guessing you've rotated the emergency stop button to reset it?

Messaged you a link that might be handy...
