Give it a go and see what you think of the output, will not look as punchy, but if going onto a white surface (firdge etc) would be fine.

What kind of visible lines? Can you post a picture? How often do you clean the printer when printing long runs?

Ink blobs gather around bits of dust/absorb and pull the ink surrounding.
If static then you can get anti-static bars which may help.

Looks like media contamination, dust or bits of fluff etc settling on the film before/during print. Where is the printer located? Do you leave the film uncovered on the back of the printer when not in use?

Check using uni-direction too, maybe add a scan interval on the machine menu...add more dry time between passes.
