Re: DYSS CUT FILES is it possible?

It works fine! Add the camera marks to the print in e.g. Illustrator, and have the cutting data on a separate layer which is hidden (so it doesn't affect the print). Then you only need one file.

Re: LEF primer vs gloss

Thanks for the reply. Is the primer needed for glass/acrylic because they're non-porous? Or high gloss? Or both?! How do you find the durability of the print on acrylic (assuming you're using it for signage and not just short-term promotional items)? I can see how the gloss would be frustratingly sl...

LEF primer vs gloss

Interested in an LEF desktop machine, unfortunately the 300 will be out of budget so looking at one of the others (possibly refurbished). With the smaller machines it looks like you have to make a choice between primer & gloss. Trying to assess which would be more useful. Obviously, it depends what ...

Re: one ink channel completely missing on test print

Yes, always Roland inks.

What is the cause of a stuck damper and how do I test for this please?

one ink channel completely missing on test print

Hi, I have an EJ-640, the test print is pretty much perfect except one black ink channel (out of two total) is completely absent from the test print pattern on head B. Cleaning (physical & via menu) doesn't help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. I had this before with a different printer, if I recall t...

Re: Scan Motor Error 0010 0010

Yes linear bearing lubricated, both carriages move very smoothly.

Have replaced the motor and (fingers crossed) the machine is working normally again. When I removed the old motor it felt quite graunchy so I'm pretty sure that was the problem.

Re: Scan Motor Error 0010 0010

Initialising doesn't fix the problem unfortunately. It works fine for half a job or maybe a whole job then has the error again.

I've ordered a new motor as the current one is on 1250 hrs anyway & the replacement is simple. If that doesn't work I'll try a new flex cable.

Scan Motor Error 0010 0010

Getting this on my XR-640. Re-initialized the limits which solved the problem initially, now it gives the error partway through the limit procedure (just before the "cutter down" cue). Fairly sure there wasn't a head crash, etc. Any ideas? Doing the limit procedure I did notice the blade holder bobb...
