Re: Help with gloss layer...versa uv 20

Using gloss last puts too much ink down and versaworks does it in two passes! Most decals need to be laquered after application anyway keep them thin with the print order I gave you.

Good luck

Re: New to industry: Need clarification on roland dealer print/cut machine advice

Hi BN20 is a great machine for starting out. Roland don't sell media so are you sure that you were talking to a dealer? For budget and space you can't beat it. All printers need regular cleaning, so clogging up is not an inherent issue with the BN20. The SG300 is bigger; better; faster and costlier....

Re: printing large files

Hi

Check the file resolution ie anything bigger than 150dpi is not visible on the print. 300dpi is okay for litho. Try a a small print area with both 150 and 300dpi and see if you can spot the difference. It should really reduce ripping time time. Or purchase a very fast i7 processor.

Re: Continuous Numbering via Versaworks?

Hi Clearpoint

I offer some Versaworks training at the Antalis Digital Academy in Leicestershire if its a bit closer for you. I also sell CAD link software which has no restrictions on the number of serial numbers barcodes or other variable data you might like to print.

Re: Cutlines Not Showing as 'Moving Ants'

Hi
Try to get Versaworks updated to the latest version, flatten the file to get rid of transparency. File type EPS, Postcript version 3.

Re: Versa Works Dual / Roland TrueVis VG-540 / Profiles?

Hi You missed the offer for a free place on the Versaworks advanced course which completed today. (See training post) we are trying to provide good value training that is often overlooked. Installers can't cover everything in the short time available in a one day setup. Colorgate is just a more adva...
