Re: Not printing after initialised versaworks?

Why did you need to initialise the software? Was there a problem you were trying to sort. The obvious ones are reboot PC (what is the spec) Try turning off Firewalls and Virus checkers. Update to the latest version of VersaWorks or remove completely and reinstall. Before setting up your printer from...

Colour Management

Do you have any one the following colour issues? You don't get repeatable colour, jobs printed 3-6 months ago don't match current production. You are not sure which output setting to use in Versaworks Pre Press Europe or Sign and Display. Your Roland prints don't match other printers you have or you...

Re: Versa Works Dual / Roland TrueVis VG-540 / Profiles?

Hi Phil It is good to hear that you were advised to to use Pre Press Europe, Sign and Display increases the colour saturation not always in a balanced way. Photos will be unnatural looking. However Pre Press Europe is also using an old profile and needs to be updated to at least iso_coated_v2. Its s...

Re: Roland or Mimaki?

You are a Roland user? You should have answered your own question.

You would have to learn a new Rip and keep different inks on the shelf and not have the renowned Roland support.

Re: BN-20 Film Application

Hi Have you taken this forward?

I would not recommend the BN20 since it is a solvent ink printer. If you need to print on uncoated materials you will need a UV printer.

Re: Roland SP300i print quality

Hi Just looking back over some old posts, did you get this sorted?

I would have gone for the VS-300i altogether better print finish than the SP300/i.

Call me if its still a project.

Re: Versa express RF 640

Hi Are you aware of the Mac based rip being offered by Roland and available very soon ? Priced at around £1000 it will include media profiling and be able to run 2 Roland devices. Media profiling software alone would be around £900 from X-rite.

Worth saving up for!

Re: UPGRADE

Hi Grant bigger is always better. I would avoid the SP300/540 range, simply because you are used to printing with the "VS" print head. The same single head unit is fitted to the VS-300i/540i/640i. Most of my customers upgrading would go for the VS-540i it has the same print quality with much improve...
