MPX90 & 95

Post by jaffacat » Mon Jun 12, 2017 9:00 pm

Hi
Whats the difference in these impact engravers?

I keep reading about the quality of photos engraved, what is the true quality output on a high quality photo? Is it as clear as the online images?

ANything else I should consider before purchasing one? I want to do hand/footprints/fingerprints, is this possible in addition to photos on stainless steel, aluminium, silver plated items etc

Thanks

It's all possible but you need to see the output yourself. It cannot be reproduced on a photo.

Hi Jaffacat,
IMG_2550a.jpg
I have just engraved this photo of my daughter on the MPX-95. I did not make any changes to the photo in the Metaza software, just sized it to the object and sent to engrave. If you click on the image, you can zoom in.

The two key differences between the MPX-90 and MPX-95 are:

1. Laser pointer for accurate positioning of engraving. This requires the optional gift kit to benefit from the slide adjusting vice.
2. Removable table for the possibility of engraving onto larger items.

Regarding finger and hand prints, we have a very successful user already doing this, so I know it works well.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

The output is probably identical (haven't seen the 95 myself) so you can go see the old model and order the new one.

Thanks - I have spoken to my local dealer and have an appointment next week.

Great quality output on the photo, thanks for sharing.
