Operating a BN20 without 1 Cartridge

Post by fatfella » Tue Mar 22, 2016 5:48 am

Hi all. I have a Bn 20 with the metallic ink and have the following question:

Can you operate the BN20 with the Metallic ink cartridge not inserted.
I find Im not using the ink for metallic jobs and would rather not use it.
is there anyway around it.

Thanks in advance

You can’s leave the slot open, but you can insert a cleaning cartridge.

Hi, sorry to revive this old thread.

Just wondering what if I use the SL-CL cleaning cartridge for this slot?
I'm running eco-solmax 2 white currently.
thanks.

SL-CL is the aggressive cleaning fluid for cleaning the system from all ink residue. It is only meant for cleaning and should not be left in the system for more than 48 hours.

So: no. ESL4-CL only.
