Post by Negg » Sat Dec 16, 2017 4:23 pm

hi all i have both vp-540 and vs-540i printers and have noticed the vs 540 i cleans /fills the drain bottle up alot more than the vp i have clean cycle set to maximum time but the vs seems to pump/clean nearly at the start of every job ! is there a way to stop this ?

Check the INK REMAINING menu in the printer if all bars are showing something. You may have some cartridge chip (reading) issues and the printer is thinking there’s some low quality inks in the slots causing it doing extra cleaning for nozzle protection.

Try reinserting the black cartridge. Try another one if you have a spare.

Is the job a regular CMYK job with no WH/MT parts?
