Post by gavin heffernan » Wed Jun 07, 2017 3:45 pm

Hi had a new laminator yesterday(easymount 1400H)
after laminating prints and then cutting on the printer(SP540V)
what shall I set the cutting pressure at, had a look on the internet some people say 100gf to 120gf and others 220gf so not sure I know it's
trail and error just wondering if anyone new the correct pressure. using MD3 vinyl white gloss. laminate MG-305-137 metaguard gloss.
Thanks Gav.

Trial and error only. The rule of thumb is up to double the pressure of normal cut.

Depends on age/condition of blade/cutting strip, heat, type of vinyl/lam etc...so just do a test cut off the printed area first and adjust accordingly!
