Washing Head .. Stuck !

Post by Hussain J » Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:13 pm

Hi all,

Got a weird problem on XJ-740 Eco Solvent
- I have low ink levels on most of the cartridges & some are empty as the window indicates (attached)

Ink Levels
- I performed various test prints (attached) and I am not getting the any black ink! on the other side I am getting Yellow ink although the window indicates that the yellow cartridge is empty!

Test Print
-I tried a function called "Washing head" I thought it would help

Washing Head
and the result is that the printer started wasting ink horribly (more than 1.2 litter) , and supposed to put a cleaning cartridge as I guess
- after finishing this process, I got stuck at another function to do something called "Filling Ink" by removing specific cartridges and putting them back again ...
- Couldn't continue with that function because most of the catridges were completely empty because of the previous step "washing head" !
- I shut down the printer many times, I tried inserting a new set of cartridges .. but the machine would still force me upon the "Filling Ink" function every-time I turn it on, which I dont want to because I think I will again empty all the new cartridges and lose all the ink.

I got a msg to select the ink type once it starts (E-SOL Max CMYKMC or LcLm)

I am stuck ! any help?

Head wash requires several cleaning cartridges. This process needs to finish, you cannot halt it in the middle.

It's cheaper to have a service engineer over.

Don't remember. However, if it's already in FILL INK stage you don't need cleaning cartridges anymore. Just ink.

Well, the printer thinks the lines are completely empty, so needs to refill the lines and flush out the cleaner as if it is a new printer install. Yes, this will use ink up.
