Card cutting

Post by CABDutch » Wed Aug 31, 2016 11:49 am

I have just been asked by a customer if I can do invitations with an intricate cut out, ie like the laser cut card invites that are about at the moment. Is there any way I can do this on my BN20?

The problems I can see is that the card won't have a backing sheet and also the feed position of the card in the machine ready for cutting isn't consistent, does anyone know if it is feasible? TIA.

You could setup the blade extension to cut through the card, although with the cut speed of the BN-20 cutting card may take time.

It will also cause the blade to blunt quicker than cutting vinyl and may cause damage to the Cutting Strip.
