Polyester print issues

Post by mgallagh123 » Tue Jul 11, 2017 2:18 pm

Every time I use Polyester 350 micron pop up display material I get fuzzy ink marks in white spaces and especial at the edge of prints. I am using a Roland Soljet xj-740 with rolnad inks see images http://www.exhibitionshow.co.uk/images/pol1.JPG http://www.exhibitionshow.co.uk/images/pol2.JPG I have seen elsewhere mensions of static. Have you any idea's only happening on polyester material

I have now added anti static bar to printer with no affect. If I leave the setting the same on the rip and put a 300 gsm block out banner material on the printer. Prints perfectly. Any Idea's. Is there a way of testing the material to see if it is compatable with eco-solvent inks...

Hiya,

Looks pretty strange, would have said static at first-but you now have the bar. what material is it? have you tried a different pop-up film?
If you're still stuck give the tech guys from RolandCare a call :geek:
