UV primer for glass

Post by Yappalo » Sat Sep 23, 2017 10:32 am

Goodmorning everyone,

I have a problem with sticky primers and hold for prints on a pub's glasses. I used that Roland and digigraphics but without getting results to consider. Has anyone experienced this kind of prints? Consider that the prints I mean are not going to go away, this thing is not so clear to my suppliers! ;)

tnx

To be honest, you will struggle. I have used Rolands glass primer which works ok. Not great, but better than bare inks. I have just changed my LEF-20 over to primer instead of gloss, and the bond on that is very good. Not sure it would withstand a harsh environment (pub glass washer) though.

There is a new option for the LEF with glass, which works using a type of transfer with a similar method to dye-sublimation (heat-pressed)-but UV.
I haven't tested/seen it myself first hand, but apparently it is dishwasher proof!
