Ink life

Post by Shade2 » Wed Oct 05, 2011 11:54 am

We've just lost a Health & Safety vinyl sticker job to a competitor that claims their ink's fade proof for 7 years as opposed to the Roland 3 years.
Is this possible and is there a way to compete?

Hi Shade,

If the correct overlaminate is used then the ink will take much longer to fade. 7 years is certainly possible indoors in my opinion. I have also heard that Eco Sol Max can last up to 7 years outdoors with the correct combination of print media and overlaminate, but this could depenad on how much direct sunlight the installation recieves each day.
