Hi all

Please can you tell me what your most common used mode is when using Eco sol max ink with a self adhesive vinyl (MPI3000/Mactac 5829)?

Bi directional?
Varidot?
8pass?
720x720 or lower/ higher?

I'm using Onyx 7.32 RIP

Thanks in anticipation

Hi and thanks for the post - welcome to the forum!

Most of our XJ users are running the machines from VersaWorks and will use relevant profiles for the media so the settings vary, however to be honest I don't know if there will be a 'normal' mode used as it depends on the application - some people buy the SolJet printers for their speed at 360x360dpi but others want the quality and print at 1440x1440dpi...

That said, most of the users I speak with run a 540x720dpi 4 pass bi-directional mode for standard vinyl work.

Is there a reason you prefer to run the machine from Onyx over VersaWorks?
