BN20 error 109

Post by bk2013 » Sat Jul 08, 2017 6:48 pm

hey all

so had my BN20 since March (2nd-hand).

wipers have been changed.

error message 109 cropped up a few weeks ago and a clean around the wiper assembly and turning the machine off seemed to work.

however today the error message 109 has flashed up again. this time when the machine tries to start up there is a clicking sound.

it happened this morning but i managed to do a thorough clean around the wiper assembly and got it working again but a few meters of printing and this problem has happened again.

any advise greatly appreciated

thanks

There's still something in the wiper movement. Check the scraper as well. It's the plastic blade beneath the wiper.

thank you for your response.
the scraper has been removed and thoroughly cleaned and replaced.

it is making a horrendous grinding/clicking sound when trying to start up before flashing up the error message.

could it be a wiper motor issue?

Unlikely. The wiper motor is good for 20 years even in very high throughput machines. Check the belt and linkage. Everything has to move freely.
