Costs for units using DWX-50 Milling Machine

Post by Laurence Grice-Roberts » Mon Jan 16, 2012 12:43 pm

Many sellers will give you a price per unit based on how many units can be milled from a block. It is more complex to get to the real figure. Some of the Factors that have to be taken into account are: The material you are using and how much you are paying for it, the cost of cutting tools, electricity use, man hours using the system, cleaning and maintenance. In fact anything that affects the use and running of the machine. Any figures you are quoted will always be rough averages so bearing this in mind we calculate the cost per unit using the DWX-50 in the UK at current material prices is approximately:

Zirconia £4.50 to £5.00
PMMA £1.50 to £2.00
Wax 30p to 50p

For a more accurate assessment of costs/savings for your Laboratory contact Roland DG UK and we will calculate the figures based on your usage.
