Worthwhile 3D printing

Post by Peter Kettle » Wed Jan 18, 2012 3:47 pm

This clip has nothing to do with Roland DG, but I thought I would share it with you. There are many forms of 3D printers on the market. At Roland, we have always focussed on the subtractive approach to prototyping and model making. This is because we value the ability to work in many materials and recreate fine detail and smooth surfaces. For these reasons, I do sometimes struggle with the value of the output from some 3D printing technology. However, this short video shows why this kind of technology development is so important. http://blog.ted.com/2011/03/07/printing ... n-ted-com/
