EGX-350 Stopping during z axis movement

Post by jday2014 » Tue Dec 27, 2016 2:41 pm

I am currently using Roland Engrave Studio

When I output the tool paths to the engraver it starts to move down to the work piece then it stops and shuts off with no error messages. I have tried a number of times and it stops at the exact same point every time. I have Set Z0 to the top of the work piece and Z2 to the 1/8" above the work piece.

Can anyone help with this?

The only Z-value of any real significance for EngraveStudio is the Z0. Others are overridden. In 99% cases cutting stops due to the cut path being out or range. Make sure your origin point is in a correct position in relation to the workpiece. Max the Z2 and try again.

Thanks that was the problem. I had the origin set to the wrong corner of the work piece.
