MPX-80: Issues with printing, hoping for help

Post by yoshi44 » Sat Mar 25, 2017 12:58 pm

Hello,

I bought a used MPX-80 which didn't run a lot. The Head Manager shows that only two thirds of pin no. 2 are used, the others are new. But I have some printing issues.

I ran a test print but I wonder about the result. The lines of pins no. 6 and 7 fade from top to bottom the further left you look. Is that okay? And does the test print look normal for a pretty new print head?

My main problem is that the MPX-80 doesn't print all parts of images. I used two different motifs - a photo and a graphic. The print image of both motifs is incomplete on the left. Further there are "hard" lines which shouldn't be there (in the owl). I replaced the head cap, did a cleansing and changed the pins twice (to no. 1 and no. 8). But nothing helped... Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Remove the head from the machine and look to see if one of the pins is lower than it should be, it looks like a pin is causing the scratchin is caused by this.
