Hi
I have a pnc2300A, working well.
I would like to do some work using 6mm milling cutters and can't see a supplier in the UK for the bottom collet ZC-23-6.
Can anyone help with where this can be purchased please?
I have found a couple in the USA but postage cost is greater than the actual collet cost!
Thanks
Ian - a hobby user hence keeping the price down!

Hi Ian,

Sorry for the late reply.

You can buy the ZC-23-6 from us at Roland, however we would also apply a postage charge as the stock is located in a European Warehouse.
Just call us on 0845 230 90 60 and speak to the orders team.

Apologies for crashing this thread, but how does the 6mm Collet work in comparison to the usual 3.175mm one.

Does it use the 100mm plus long cutters, but in 6mm? or can it use other shorter bits, that are possibly easier to find.

Did a quick Google and couldn't find anything about the subject.

The 6mm ZC-23-6 collet are a split collet for holding an end mill (usually shorter cutters).
These are more used in milling applications (3D) rather than engraving applications (2.5D) as a rule of thumb.

You can get 6, 5, 4, 3mm split collets as well as a 3.175 one.

The way they work is when you screw them into the spindle, they grip the tool shaft in place. The advantage is you can get these milling cuttes from many suppliers and try different ones for different applications.

Do yu know if the ZC-23-635 also works for holding 1/4" cutter for milling, which are usually 1 or 1-1/2" long only. In different online stores, I can see clearly that the ZC-23-6 is a split collet, but for the ZC-23-6 I can't find a good answer.

Thanks in advance.
