Engraving Arabic and other Character Sets

Post by yorkie100 » Sun Jul 05, 2015 8:05 am

Hi

Is it possible to engrave arabic text on the MPX 90 ? If I changed the language in windows would that work ?
I have noticed that although windows recognises Eastern European characters which do not appear on my keyboard, Metaza Studio does not. For example, I can copy and paste Lithuanian text into notepad without issue, however metaza studio replaces some of the characters for the closest western character match.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.

This has been an issue with Roland engraving software for ages. The easiest way would be converting your text into bitmap in another application.

Thanks. That's what I have been doing. I just thought there must be a simpler way. Maybe not ??

Not that I know of. Our little languages have been out of focus for most manufacturers.
