Refuse, scrap metal products - MPX 90

Post by gikaman » Thu Sep 03, 2015 10:13 pm

Hi all,

I work with a MPX 90 metal engraver and I very often make mistakes which result in damaged unusable items. A missed letter or a bad photo engraving result lead to some expensive mistakes that pile up, I am left with hundreds of keyrings, pendants, flasks or even zippo lighters which I cannot use. :(
Assuming that I am not the only one that has this issue... What do you do with your scrap products?

Many thanks!

There are probably many of us out there that have the same problem, I usually use the reverse of an item for test prints, I looked in to filing and re-polishing but it seemed like too much hard work.

I have found another use for scrap items!
print a picture out to the same size as the item, round keyring for example, then stick an acrylic dome over the top!, you have not only recycled the item but it is now in colour, unless you printed in B&W :-P
