Problem with new MPX-90

Post by Keepsakez » Mon Apr 04, 2016 4:47 am

Just installed everything for MPX90 on my computer yesterday. I watch lots of videos since some of the instructions in the manual were vague. But every picture printed is faint, hologram, or only visible in certain light. Am I doing something wrong or is this the best it gets? I performed the calibration...it was clear up to p-4. Set it and then performed it again. It remained the same. Is this how it is suposed to calibrate? Please help!!!!!

In the setting for the driver, change the settings to print from bottom and bidirection, they change the material setting to Roland MD, then test again.

Also ensure the material you are printing is suitable.

It does look like it's imprinting correctly, it could just be down to the quality of the tag that you are using to print with, remember the machine impacts the surface of the material.

The dog tag used in the pictures is the sample tag that came from Metaza when I purchased the machine last week. And I printed in Roland MD settings. Is there some way I can get a sample of what the machine can do sent to me somehow.

Speak to Metaza.com, they should be able to send you samples of the output quality.

I installed the MPX-90 on a new computer that has Windows 10. The computer did not find it as new hardware when plugged up so I had to get the drivers online. Could this be the problem? Also, when I run head manager, the amount of pin usage is black and not moved. When I click refresh it doesn't do anything.

In the first image it looks like the border you printed went right over the hole in the tag, this is a sure way to damage the tip of the print head.

Hi Keepsakez

Regarding the drivers, you need to install them before you connect the machine usually. If you can print to the machine then they are all OK and have now been installed correctly, as if they were not you would not be able to do anything. If you are still having issues look at the devices and printers and it would probably be in the 'unidentified' section, running the troubbleshoowing usually works if you have installed the driver.
