MPX-90 Problem

Post by CuttingEtch » Fri Jun 24, 2016 11:39 am

I found that one of the connectors on the top sensor for the height control of the head had snapped (Makes the power light flash as the machine thinks the head height is set) so as a temporary fix I basically wedged the broken contact back into the sensor so that the broken bit made good contact.

This worked and I engraved 2 pet tags without issue, turn off the machine and ordered spare sensor (not from Roland as it was £73 plus vat)

Next day I had to redo the pet tags as the customer had a detail wrong on it, switched on machine, no flashing light, all good I thought, BUT now the tip wasn't marking the material at all :-/

Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks
