Hello from Graettinger Iowa USA

Post by jkpmanager » Thu Mar 16, 2017 2:03 pm

Hello, I have a Roland VP300 I am wanting to do some decals that the sticker itself will be 2x4" The pinch rollers will not get that close together. There is an orange area with arrows that prevent the left pinch roller from moving close enough to the right pinch roller. Is it not possible to print on an area this small on this machine? Sorry, I am new to the roland. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hiya,
Do you mean a media with of only 2 or 4"? The smallest media width will be with the right hand pinch roller as far left as it can go, and the left hand one above/on the next grit roller to the left of that. Does that make sense?

Actually you can remove the stopper to push the left pinch roller to the right side grit area but you'll have to spot the cutting the whole time as the media transport and precision is not designed or guaranteed in any way in such a narrow area.

I have a customer that wants a roll of decals made up the decals itself are 2" high x 4" wide but would be on a roll to be printed. There is an orange area between the pinch rollers and wondered what this was for. Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it.

The orange area is where you take out/add pinch rollers.

Why not use a wider roll and multiply the job across the width?
