Classic Vehicle Stripes etc

Post by brizrs » Tue May 29, 2012 12:26 pm

Does anyone know where I can get templates for the original striping etc for "classic" cars e.g. teh blue strips on my RS2000 Escort in my profile photo ?

(It's not for my car but I've had requests from a local restorer / motorsport car builder)

Cheers
Nick

not sure if they are available but a good side on photo could get you near as damn it with some good measuring.

Came across the company who are selling the kits for a lot of old cars, may save you the time of taking a photo and then working on the design to get the curves correct.

They also supply a lot of older car kits.

Hi Brizrs,

Did you manage to sort out the graphics you were after?

I had a look on the link that Kai posted and found these:

http://www.dmb.uk.com/prod/39/escort-mk ... stripe-kit

Also here on ebay for a bit cheaper:

But I imagine you are looking to do these yourself and not buy a new kit, so JOHNBOL1's suggestion seems like a good idea, or even tracing the outline from here

In a vector format and enlarging to fit, then you will have the curves you are after.

Let us know how you get on!
