CutStudio Plugin

Post by billmags » Sat May 28, 2016 4:42 am

I'm sure there is a simple answer to this, but I am new to this and I guess I just don't understand. I am using Illustrator CC 2014 on a Mac, with the CutStudio Plugin. I have imported my image, set my crop marks, duplicated my image to set up my sheet, and am ready to cut. Or so I thought. Does the plugin create cut lines? Or is this something I need to do in illustrator before this step with the plugin? If so... how!? :o I tried doing the Pathfinder --> Unite route, but I keep getting "The filter produced no results. Please select two overlapping paths." I'm stuck on my next steps to get this ready to cut. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Plugin will output the lines to the machine, you need to generate the lines prior, try using the pen tool to draw the lines you need.
