BN-20 Utility Cut Adjustment vs Versaworks Cut Settings

Post by Ed1971 » Mon Aug 07, 2017 1:45 am

Hi,

I am trying to setup my BN-20 to cut through laminated vinyl and I have been performing Test Cuts using the BN-20 Utility; however,I have noticed that these do not correlate with the VW Advanced Settings in Cut Controls.

Can you please confirm whether the Utility is only used for testing and that these need to be manually inputted into VW?

I look forward to your feedback.

Thanks.

Ed

Hiya Ed,

If you select the advanced cutting options in RVW the settings you input there will override the machine (Utility) settings. If you do not select the tick box in RVW (options remain 'greyed out') then the printer will use the Utility settings.

Hope that helps

Fantastic. Thank you. What about the Test Cut feature in RVW? How do you actually change the settings for a Test Cut? It seems locked at 50gf, 15cm/sec.

You would only be able to change the cut pressure/speed by changing the setting in the Queue Settings (This change would then be set for all time)

Edit, Queue A settings - Enable Advanced Settings, then make the changes to the settings.
