Windows 10 and Coreldraw x8

Post by Porchclimber » Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:47 pm

I upgraded from x7 to x8 coreldraw last year. My old computer was win7 32bit. When I load an .eps file into versa works only 2 cut lines are shown in the preview window and processed. The corel team spent two hours online with me to get x8 to work. They said the ghost script was corrupt. They made a repair checked that it worked and went offline. I tried it again and the same problem persisted. I gave up on x8. I since have reinstalled x7 and x8 on a new computer. 64bit version on windows 10. The same issue has followed me. No problem with x7 , but x8 still will only show and cut 2 sides. Versa Works is installed on its own dedicated computer.
I certainly would like to be able to us corel x8.
Your help would be very appreciated.

So you’re exporting .EPS file from Corel Draw? Why not publish to PDF X1a?

I will try that. Have been using .eps for 2 years successfully on x7, Will give x8 another chance and post results.

Exported pdf to versa works. It works great thank you. Still is bugs the hell out of me that it doesn't work as was designed. I don't have time to mess with it now. Maybe later and will post my results.
Once again thank you for your help.

PDF is essentially EPS so don't worry about it. These program errors happen and instead of waiting for Corel to fix it use a working method. It's also good to store your print files as PDF because every device in the world can read it, your smartphone included.
