SC545EX major Drop outs on test prints

Post by Hogwild16 » Thu Feb 09, 2017 11:00 pm

I'm having challenges with my printer dropping out signigicantly. I have attached a few photos to show. Now group c has been this way since I've bought this business 7 months ago, but now group A had significant issues so I ran through normal head cleaning, powerful head cleaning and then manual cleaning. Notice that while the dropouts have become less, there is smearing of the blues along with the letters. Almost as if too much ink is pumping through.
I'm very careful to only dab the print heads directly with roland cleaning solution.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, this test is with the head set High and this is magnet material.

Thank you for any ideas.

Looking at the amount of nozzle deflection and missing nozzles, I would look at cap tops first but I would say that the Cyan, Black and Light Magenta heads are failing and would need to be replaced.

Thank you for the input. At the same time, From my pictures, why would black be a concern over Magenta? I'm sorry but I am very lacking in knowledge here. My assumption would be light magenta and then magenta would be at the top of the priority list?

Purely from the amount of nozzle deflection on the other heads, the Magenta is eiither damper or cap top as currently it is just missing a block.

This printer needs a major overhaul. Probably neglected service.

Hey pal, I've been through many problems with my printer and nearly there to getting is fully functioning :)

The black streak through your colours, can you get you machine into the manual cleaning mode and then put a small mirror below your printheads to see the physical condition of them and see if they all have a dark line on them? If so have a look at my recent topic: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=11167

I can same problem and if you get stuck reply or private message me.

In addition on your test print... through the exactly centre the colours look like your lines are very close together (your test print is a repeated print as you may know. Where your testpribt repeats it looks too close. This could do with a minor calibration. Roland admin on here may confirm this. It's very easy to tweak this too.
