Roland DXY-980

Post by anedic » Thu Mar 02, 2017 12:10 pm

Hi,
I recently get this pen plotter, and I want to know how to adjust pen carriage, because I think the pen stroke is too hard on paper.
What is the minimal distance from paper to pen?
Regards,
Aleksandar

There should only be one position that a plotter pen can fit in the holder of this model, are you using a compatible pen? There is no adjustment for the pressure.

Hi,
Last night I saw a adjustment screw in pen holder on pen carriage, so pen holder can be moved up and down few mm by loosing this screw. I use compatible waterproof pen I I want to plot PCB layer on plotter. The PCB is 1,5mm thick, so I must move pen up.
I want to know the distance between paper and pen, when pen is up, so I can adjust pen high.

The screw is for tightening the pen into place, but there should be a fixing point that the pen should lock into. Has the pen you have have a ridge at the top?
