LEF-20 Keep Stopping

Problem with LEF-20 printer keeps stopping mid print

VersaWorks Dual is showing the Print Status as having completed the print but printer display is showing ‘proccessing’ and the print is incomplete.

I have reset the IP and subnet, which seamed to fix it for a while but the problem is now back and getting worse.

Any thoughts?

Disable all energy saving features in the PC, set it on "High performance".

If this does not help, change the Ethernet patch cables.

If this does not help, make a direct connection between the PC and the printer, leaving out the switch/router completely. This requires a manual network configuration in the PC tho.

Thank you for the help.

I have the pc's power set to high and have one cable from pc to printer.

Also reset the IP and subnet and these are the same at both ends.

It seams like the pc is passing over the data faster than the printer can process it. The print status (on VersaWorks) normally reaches 100% when the print is almost complete. But when the problem occurs, the print status moves quickly up to 100% (then ends) before the print is even half finished. The printer display then shows "Processing" as if it is waiting for more data.

For some reason the problem is worst when starting in the mornings and is ok when the printer has been in continuous use for a few hours.

I guess we could try coffee.

Could you post your network configuration here, both on printer and PC?
