Hi andrew, while your at it i have another bug that needs fixing, in the modela player4 program (as you can see from screen grab) there is no support for moving the tool 0.01mm as the imodela supports so we are forced to move 2.5 times the resolution that the imodela can use. Before you suggest, i have already setup the program as a `imodela` not one of the other supported machines so this setting is not setting up the program correctly.

Hi, can anyone help me with my problem, i`m trying to import a pdf file into `3D engrave` and all i get is an error message as you can see in the screen grab i took. I have tried importing a rhino file and i also get the same result, both file formats are listed as importable. I have tried reinstalling the program, no good.
Thanks in advance .

Hi,

I have checked the software and the only importable formats for 3d Engrave are .BMP, .PIX and .DXF.

The imports that you have are only available if you have Rhinocerous installed, here is the help file that I have in the latest version.

I will try to see if we have a copy of Rhinocerous and try to determine what file types will work.

Hi kai, i see now, i have just tried installing the software on a pc that has no rhino and the import options have disappeared :!: All i can import are the ones in your screen grab....even so, there are problems importing them :( . .....that`s a bummer, i wanted to be able to give files on the `4th axis project` that others could duplicate, so this is now no good as even if it had imported correctly other people who had NOT got a rhino program would have problems. I`ll have to have a re think. :?

What are the problems with importing the files with the usable options?

Hi kai, i have not had any problems as yet with the roland standard formats, if what you mean was `what was i trying to do`, i had intended to make available my drawings in a pdf format as every and anyone can use that format, then they could progress through the other stages, so now i may have to jump this stage unfortunately.
P.S. guess what my next software request is....PLEASE make more file formats available. ....in ALL the programs. :)

Hi Chevy,

More formats for the software would be good, Japan have issued a couple of updates today one for 3D Engrave and the other for Modela Player.
