Roland MDX-40A spindle problem

Post by stiks » Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:57 pm

Hello. I have problems with my machine. When I press the spindle, it drops about 1 mm. Then comes back. Should it be so? Maybe I should tighten the nut?
Strips appeared on the surface of the parts, I was looking for the cause.
Thank you in advance.

Hello
Yes the MDX-40 spindle is under spring pressure, so there is a small movement if you press the spindle down from the top.
As it pops up, that is OK.

Many thanks, Patrick. I changed the bearings in the spindle. The problem with the bands did not dare. The next step is to check the collet and the swivel axis. Is it possible to find a service manual somewhere?

I found several photos of myself. Where can they be from?

Sorry we do not give our service manuals and those notes are not ours, we would not suggest using a paper clip. :)
