Re: MDX 500 problem with connection

The MDX500 is of a pre USB day, so a parallel port is looking to the pc for the same. Called LPT1 etc. Adaptors do not always work.

Re: Roland Techsoft TS30 (Pre MDX40)

Scott TS30 is in fact an early creation that he MDX-40 was based on. That said all latest MDX Windows drivers are looking for the model name, hence they do not work. TS30 was in the era of Windows XP, so working on later OS's could be a big problem, but some Windows savvy wizard may know differently...

Re: Roland MDX-40A weird X-axis problem.

A bit of info to add. The slides for XYZ are on bushes on the shafts. Any debris etc will cause more drag and therefore make the slides not position as well. On older machines, I have seen improvement if the slides and slide-way bushes are cleaned. It is not documented or approved, however, a bit of...

Thanks for the feedback.
Maybe you could share where the users should look for the network settings.

Suspended USB connections and Ethernet power saving problems

With the ever need for Windows 10 to try and manage your life, saving power and prolong battery life etc. etc. Some Settings seem to put things to sleep. Remember you are transferring data to your Roland machine as a job of work, so make sure to set your power settings so as the PC will not go to sl...

Re: Autodesk Fusion 360 with Roland DG milling machines

I saw Thanos Makris who has some nice Fusion 360 CAM videos to watch. (I say watch as I do not speak Greek). In this video he constructs a cylinder with spiral pockets and mills them on his ZCL-40A rotary axis on his MDX-40A machine. Very Nice seeing Roland machines in action. Thanos MDX-40A S...

Re: Autodesk Fusion 360 with Roland DG milling machines

HSM Works is the core CAM engine Autodesk installed into Fusion 360.

We did tests with HSM on the Roland machines and there is a bit of information here.

Autodesk Fusion 360 with Roland DG milling machines

We have quite a few enquiries from users with Fusion 360, unfortunately none of us are using it as we have our included SRP Player software. We do know that our NC Code is similar to Generic G-Code or Fanuc, however, there s a "Roland" post processor inside Fusion 360 that you can configure for your...
