MPX 90 - Anodized Aluminum

I was wondering if anyone knew what settings I can use on my MPX 90 so it will evenly remove all the anodized coating when engraving anodized aluminum. I always seem to have a residue as if the head does not penetrate all the way through the coating. I even tried going over it again but it doesn't h...

Re: MPX 90 Head Repair

Hi Ryan, thanks for your reply, the head that went faulty is one that Roland USA sent me under warranty because of issues I was having with my original head. MY warranty is now up on my machine and my original head is not working exactly right and the new head just stopped working. I used it with go...

MPX 90 Head Repair

I have a MPX 90 head that was used less than 20 times and then just stopped working. All I get is lines. I was wondering if there was a way to test the head or if on occasion something will seize up inside that can be repaired. Thanks in advance Richard

MPX 90 Head - Failed

I replaced my MPX 90 head about 2 months ago and maybe engraved 5 or 6 pendants before I stopped using the machine. When I attempted to engrave something this evening it only produced really faint images and blurry text. I changed out the head to another one that I knew still had some life in it and...

Re: MPX 90 woes

I have attached a couple of samples for you to see. They are so faint you can hardly see the photos. Please take a look and let me know. Thanks Richard

Have you had any success with your photo images, unfortunately we are no farther ahead and the paper weight is still there collecting dust

Re: MPX 90 woes

Can't seem to get it to work. Roland replaced the head under warranty but it really did not make a difference. I have worked with Roland USA and they even sent me a sample engraving, and now I am thinking we are expecting to much from our machine, which is very disappointing. We will keep trying for...

Re: cannot get a good photo on MPX 90

We have owned our machine for almost a year now and still not get a good picture. We changed heads and to date have probably wasted 200.00 dollars or more on material. When Roland USA actually sent me a sample of a picture that they engraved we were not impressed. If that is as good as it gets we wa...

Re: My MPX-90 is currently a rather expensive text engraver!

I live in Nova Scotia Canada, and we are in the exact same situation. I worked with Roland and when it was all said and done, they basically told me my expectations were to high and my images were as good as they were going to get. We are still contemplating how to deal with our $5000.00 dollar pape...

Re: Best Material MPX 90

If I am using the nose cone, which I believe floats along the material, is there another adjustment I should know about. I asked the tech basically the same question but he told me there was no adjustment when using the nose cone. Please let me know If I am missing (tips & trips) something that they...
