Re: Roland bn20 totally off for 2 or 3 days

Nah, will be fine :). Just do a manual clean before and after. I had one shipped to me via a pallet with the inks still installed. Just keep it level and immobilise the head with foam packing

Re: Metallic Chip Print-Out on BN-20?

You could use the inbuilt spot colour palletes/swatches on coreldraw / illustrator and print a selection out? I have used the versaworks pages before on my LEF-20 for the special effects and it works very well.

Re: second hand

Find out when the captops were last changed, and the print head test should be excellent. The BN20 is a slow beast, and if the head is bad, you wouldn't get chance out of £3K. I am not sure on the replacement cost, but its around that I do believe.

It should but the whole thing in one go, I suggest you look at your artwork, and join all the curves up on the cutting line otherwise it will treat each one as a separate line.

All nozzles firing ok?
I don't know. How do I check that? With a test print?
Exactly like that, I usually do one after every manual clean just to make sure.

Re: LEF 300 Odor Issue - Making us Sick

Its bit worrying, do you clean your UV light? You should clean the lens with IPA, and not the cleaner and it should be pretty clear. If the UV light isn't strong enough it Isn't curing enough, then this can cause an issue. The problem with woods etc is they are a bit absorbent, I noticed this trying...

Re: White or Silver (or Neither) MAX or MAX 3 inks?

Hi Joe Thank you for the response and information. Do I understand from what you say that there is only one version of metallic and that is Max2. The cartridge we have is ESL3-MT INK Metallic Silver 220cc and says ECO-Sol MAX - there's no sign of Max 2 anywhere. Point noted about the course - wadin...

Sounds its more the macbook pro that has the issue, or was it the case that the last PC was also a mac?

Re: Metallic ink MT ran out

If you need to use it, pout a bit of tape over the white level sensor on the cart. It will be fine for a few days :). There is always a bit more in the carts anyway! Leave the machine to do all its self cleans.
