Re: MPX 90 contour misalignment

thanks for the info. Is there any specific wires to look at? Any idea if it would be head or motor related?

What are the options to send it off and get it serviced and tested?

Re: MPX-90 'Rub' marks left on engraved items

replacing the nose cone fixes this. If you are doing this regularly then its best to clean the nose cone regularly. The cause is very fine bits of metal.

I find a bit of blue tack does the job. Stick the nose cone in the blue tack and all the very fine bits of metal will stick to the blue tack. ;)

MPX 90 contour misalignment

We have two MPX-90's. One contours perfectly but the other has a misalignment issue we have never been able to fix. The problem machine engraves images and fill text fine. However when it comes to the line/contour function it doesn't line up correctly. Attached is a test engraving. You will notice t...

Re: Engraving multiple items on one pass with Metaza Studio

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any info regarding safe tolerances for uneven surfaces regarding the head. Even with the best jig there are going to be steps and small gaps between the jig and item.

Engraving multiple items on one pass with Metaza Studio

We have a lot of small items we would like to engrave the same image into. As it takes time loading and unloading individual items, we were wondering if there is a way to engrave multiple items in one go. I setup a design for a new material with multiple shapes for the items and went to print. The M...

Re: Not engraving parts of the image - mpx-90

This was a flat item. We solved it in the end with a new head and re-calibration. Something in the old head must have been intermittently failing.

Re: Not engraving parts of the image - mpx-90

So I managed to get it working by selecting print from the bottom. After a few prints, it is now missing the start of the image from the bottom!!

So I guess it's not a hardware issue.

How does the software communicate with the printing. Does it use the windows print spooler?

Not engraving parts of the image - mpx-90

As you can see from the image, the engraver has started not engraving part of the image. I've tried; starting both the PC and machine. Checked all cables. Saved the image in a different format. Recalibrating the head. From testing it seems to stop engraving in the same area. So if I print something ...

Re: Replaced head - now not engraving correctly

Thanks. In the end I ran the head adjustment and set it to b8 to increase the impact. Then ran a image which engraved. Then went back and ran the head adjustment again. Seems to be working now.
