Re: R-Works?

Note that CutContour needs to be a spot colour with any tone (magenta is just a standard cutline designator). The cutting feature is defined by three parameters:

* type: spot colour
* name: CutContour
* thickness: hairline

Re: R-Works?

Have you looked into Affinity Designer? It's only €55 with a similar functionality as Corel Draw. It did not have spot colours a few years ago but that should be fixed by now.

It has a trial version, see if it's of use for you: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/

Re: New EGX-350 Engraver

Then it's easy. Just hammer it. Start with 1 mm Z-down and max feed speed it can take without killing the spindle speed (also max). Then increase or decrease as needed.

Metal tags are different tho. I assume you want to use a diamond scraper. Just use the speed the software recommends automatically.

Re: Bn20 White Ink

I might have just screwed up with that suggestion. I need to check. Might have talked about the service engineer app.

Pump ink empties the machine of ink. Don't do that.

Re: generic vice vs mv-2

You can mount any vice that’s suitable height wise. Having removed the generic plate, naturally. There are plenty of threaded holes in the base frame to do that.

There’s one thing to consider with using low cost vices: they tend to misalign the piece when tightened due to sloppy mechanics.

Re: Bn20 White Ink

In order for the white ink channel to work correctly you have to print weekly and shake the cartridge daily, even if you don’t print white that day. Captop replacement bi-annually. Less frequent than this you’ll start developing problems. Do not perform powerful cleanings unless you have most nozzle...

Re: Media Wrinkles (bubbling) versacamm vp540

Have you ever replaced the outer pinch rollers? It may not be the main culprit but worn pinch rollers can’t track the media perfectly, allowing it to shift inwards.
