Re: Destructible or void material for solvent print

I don't seem to be having any luck with printing on the void material, I can't seem to get the ink to adhere, it takes forever to dry and even then it rubs off easily. The only way I can think of doing it is to laminate the silver void material with clear vinyl and then print onto the clear vinyl, h...

Re: Destructible or void material for solvent print

Thanks Wooley, I have just given them a call and they said that people have used it for solvent print but obviously it isn't covered for use on my BN-20 so there are no profiles etc. but I think it will be worth a try.

Destructible or void material for solvent print

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a destructible or void type material for use with ecosolvent printers? My customer is only after a small quantity and would prefer a matt silver finish but is there anything at all that would be suitable?

TIA.

Card cutting

I have just been asked by a customer if I can do invitations with an intricate cut out, ie like the laser cut card invites that are about at the moment. Is there any way I can do this on my BN20? The problems I can see is that the card won't have a backing sheet and also the feed position of the car...

waste ink tank level not resetting

Hello all, I've had a little mishap with the waste tank on my BN-20. I have been having trouble with my magenta not printing correctly so have been doing lots of cleans (to no avail) but I took my eye off the ball and the waste ink tank overflowed. I have now emptied the tank and mopped up but the B...

Re: Coating on First aid case?

I purposely left them to gas off for a minimum of 3/4 days before laminating and I delivered the job a few days after laminating & cutting. I have tested a couple of overs on a first aid kit box I have here, I can see what he means but I've asked him to give the box a good clean with Iso before appl...

Re: Coating on First aid case?

Hello I'm back with this one I'm afraid. I did think I had managed to solve the problem by laminating then cutting the labels which, when I did some samples it seemed to stop the curling (I had tried the High tak and that didn't seem to make any diffference). Seeing as the samples worked OK I re-ran...

Re: Coating on First aid case?

Apologies for not replying, cleaning the box does make a big difference but the customer says they don't want to have to clean each time just to put on a sticker. The material I used was Metamark's MD5 which is a good material as far as I know, is there a better material with even less chance of cur...

Coating on First aid case?

Can anyone tell me if there is some sort of coating on a first aid case, the plastic small suitcase type? I've printed some labels onto various vinyls including extra stick and they seem to be curling and peeling off. They have got a background which bleeds off and I am aware that I need to gas off ...

Re: Using A4 sheets on a BN-20

I've tried gafityp's self adhesive waterproof paper and unfortunately it doesn't suit as it doesn't tear like paper, my customers are after jam jar labels that go over the lid and tear when you open the jar. Also the backing sheet on that is so thin I cant get a consistent contour cut without it cut...
